Q. What is Involuntary Unemployment?
A. Involuntary Unemployment is a complete and total loss of full time employment as a result of one of the following situations:
• A permanent termination of employment that is involuntary
• A layoff or suspension of employment that was involuntary
• A unionized labor strike by an organized labor union
• A temporary business closing due to organized employee activity
• A federal or state disaster (weather or geological event)
Q. What Doesn’t Involuntary Unemployment Include?
A. Involuntary Unemployment does NOT include the following situations:
• Retirement
• Quitting
• Resignations
• Childbirth
• Pregnancy
• Disability
• Sickness
Q. Do all types of employment qualify for Involuntary Unemployment Benefits?
A. To qualify for Involuntary Unemployment Benefit you must be a W-2 employee.
Types of employment that do NOT qualify include the following:
• Self Employment
• Business Owner
• Temporary Employment
• Seasonal Employment
• Independent Contractor
Also, you cannot be working for your immediate family or be an educational employee on a scheduled break.
Q. How Long Will My Involuntary Unemployment Benefits Last For?
A. The maximum time period that you can receive the involuntary unemployment benefits for is a total of 4 months. You will receive daily payments in the amount of 1/30 of the monthly payment for each day that you are unemployed. The maximum period is 120 days.
Q. How Do I Cancel My Coverage If Necessary?
A. When you first sign up for Involuntary Unemployment Benefit membership you will receive a 30 day trial period for free, where you can cancel anytime within this period. After the 30 day trial period is up, you can cancel your membership at any time in writing.

A. There are a few different membership options available to you which come with various pricing options. Review the membership options to see which one is right for you.
Q. Are All Jobs Included For Involuntary Unemployment Benefits?
A. Not all jobs qualify for Involuntary Unemployment Benefits. You MUST be a W-2 employee to qualify. You cannot be self employed, own your own business, hold a temporary or seasonal position, be an independent contractor, work for your immediate family or be an educator on a scheduled break.
